Alpha Epsilon Delta's main goals include preparing the student for professional school, providing community service, and serving as a social outlet for students with common interests. AED provides its members with guest lectures at every meeting, community service projects, and socials. Members participate in the Electee (New Member) Program, and they are initiated into AED at the end of the semester banquet.

After completion of the Electee (New Member) program for one semester, members are required to participate in 15 hours of community service at any division events, 2 socials, 2 intramurals, 3 Public Relations events, 2 Professional Development events, 6 philanthropy events, and 1 fiscal.

As an initiated member in AED, members participate in members' only divisions such as Health Extern, where they have the opportunity to shadow health care professionals, find research opportunities, participate in interview and personal statement workshops, access test banks and attend members' only socials.
